I'm having to scramble, as one of my hydrometers quit working about the time I bought a used second bator and it didn't work.
I bought a digital hyd/hyg that runs on 1 AAA battery. Will the humidity in the bator affect it? If so, what will fix this?
I had to put ALL my eggs into one bator, (24 on day 15 and 20 on day 3) and now I have to have a second bator and hyd/hyg for hatching chicks.

The humidity in your incubator should affect your hygrometer. Most of the ones available use a battery. I always use a fresh battery when I set a new batch of eggs, just in case.

Good Luck with your hatch.

I have a digital that runs off of battieries and I haven't had a problem with it. Alote of people put a warm sponge or washcloth in the bator during hatch time. It helps keep them humidity up. I haven't had to do that yet. GoodLuck!
