I would recommend adding grass mats they are square mats that you put down water and grass grows and they're not crazy expensive

I would definitely not use this. What is IN this stuff? Micro fertilizer and biodegradable fabric? I wouldn't have this around any animal.

I use it all the time has never hurt any of my animals

Glad to hear you haven't had issue, but I would still advise caution. I don't use any fertilizer around my animals.

Every spring I plant Lacinato kale (aka Dinosaur kale) because they love it... but best of all, it grows back quickly (in just a few days) and they have it all summer.

With fall coming, maybe you can stock up on leaf litter?
My birds looooove leaf litter. they can spend forever picking through it. I also compost in their coop, and it becomes like a treasure hunt every time new scraps come to the compost/leaf heap.
