They're chickens and not capable of expressing human emotions. Their behavior will change when they hit point of lay ( POL).

Oh yes, always make the coffee first! I used to like to ease into my day with coffee and internet, now it's coffee and "birdwatching" and my phone just sits there, ignored.
I’m thankful our pot stays on for two hours! (My phone now sits ignored too - but I sometimes put it to video and record them pecking the lens.
