I’m glad to be part of a community where I can ask questions and gain knowledge on these awesome birds. Just found out one of my sexed pullets is a roo. He’s a feisty cockerel and is all over the hens all day. I’ve never had a male in the mix of my usually peaceful flock. Any advice for me from seasoned folks please! We are leaning toward keeping him. We don’t breed, only eat our own eggs. Have no use for a roo other than we just love him. Thanks!

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
Thank you! Just kinda lost over this roo. I’ve had hens for so long but I guess I’ve gotten lucky in all my sexed pullets were true. Is it normal behavior for him to pull feathers on the hens? Or is this super aggressive behavior or normal since he’s just a cockerel and new to it all?
