I’m new here , hello ! I have a dilemma. First I’m new at this chicken raising chickens.

Hiya, and welcome to BYC! :frow

Your issue would go great in the Raising Baby Chicks forum. Just click that link, and when you get there, you'll see the green button "Post Thread."

I think what you're doing is fine though. We hatch hundreds of silkies and sometimes have our issues and sounds to me like you've got this one pretty well figured out. :hugs

Baby chicks should only have chick crumbles or all-flock crumbles for their first month of life. A safe first treat is scrambled eggs, but I don't give them that until they're around a month. Others will say nothing until 6 weeks. I cheat. :)

Thank you so much , I’m learning a lot . Of course I have everyone telling me what to do but none have chicks or chickens . ( why I decided to join here , I need professional help ). . She’s so tiny and doesn’t want to eat any of the chick starter feeds. Today she’s finally starting to eat better.

Have you tried wetting it in a little dish? Once they get about 2 days old, I start offering wet and dry. They go for both, but especially love the wet.

I just did this evening and she seemed to like it . She’s just not gaining any weight. She’s back in my hands again, well in a soft cloth held to my chest . Her favorite place to be, she’s got such a sweet personality and the baby has never known anything but me. I just want to do what’s best for her.

Welcome to BYC. I hope your little is happier now that it has a friend. Good luck!
Thank you , it didn’t work. They both just chirped and chirped . Momma started digging her way out looking for her and let the other babies out so I ended up putting both babies in the coup but as soon as Aliana ( this baby ) seen me she was at the gate chirping in hysterics because she wanted me . I couldn’t leave her so I gave her back in the house with me and the other baby back with mom and siblings .

Hello! You are doing fine, we all were beginners at some point! And I think you never stop learning!
