Hey all, new member here.. long time lurker. My girlfriend convinced me to join this group because I’m always quoting it at the dinner table. Haha
I was first introduced to chickens when I was living in Hawaii. I was always mesmerized by them running all over the place (state bird) lol. After we moved I was finally able to get some chickens. Which rapidly multiplied haha.
we currently have 15 birds ranging in ages spread over a large area with 3 coops combined.
my partners passion is horses and until recently I didn’t know what mine was until she asked. I immediately replied “sitting in my chair, drinking my morning coffee as the chickens free range in their “backyard”.
We’re very lucky that the horses, cats and dogs all get along with the chickens. This page has been super helpful for every little sexing, medical and coop trick, tip or ideas I’ve had. I’ve needed all the help I can get with having chickens in this Arizona heat, predators included.
