Hi, hope all goes well with your ducks!
You may be able to reintegrate them later. Wishing you luck!Well we bought a second coop that we are rushing to assemble ( bought originally for the chickens arriving in a month) , but looks like the garden shed will be a make shift coop for now
They’ve lived together since day one, I don’t know what’s going on!! I might need luck! Thanks!!You may be able to reintegrate them later. Wishing you luck!
Thank you! I definitely will!!Howdy,Welcome to Backyard Chickens. Enjoy your time here!
Yes, boredom! I think that might be the problem! Being COOPED up during bad weather really sucks!! I’ve tried giving them peas in a bowl of water( saw it online), not much interest there except for the water part! This time of year is so darn hard here in Canada! It’s nice and sunny today so the coop is wide open but they won’t venture out! Tomorrow’s weather is freezing pellets and rain! Ugh!! I threw dried mealworms everywhere for them, trying to encourage them, they love the dry mealworms!! Thank you for your response!! I’m still trying to navigate my way around BYC!I hope somebody who knows more about ducks will chime in... or you can look at one of the duck forums or threads. But again and again when people talk about their chicks or hens picking too much on each other, it's a problem with too many in a small space and/or boredom.
