I’m new!!

How wonderful that you are an aspiring vet who likes chickens! Those are often hard to find; my avian vet has practiced in 3 different towns, and it's well worth the drive to follow her wherever she goes!

You can find a wealth of information on BYC about all aspects of life with chickens, delivered by countless friendly folks who want to help you and your flock succeed.

Welcome! It's good to meet you, and best wishes with your veterinary goal!

Welcome. I hope when you become a veterinarian you see chickens. Avian vets are hard to find - I would have to drive 2-hours. There is one avian vet 1-hour away, but, he is not accepting new patients. I have seen many posts that others are in a similar situation.

Hi! I’m new here and new to chickens! I’m a small animal Veterinary technician and aspiring Veterinarian! I am “urban farming” as a broke college kid and have a deep passion for my fur and feather family! I am starting out chicks and it is quite foreign to me but I’m eager to learn!
Welcome to BYC!!
