I’m SO EXCITED

I’ve been off the forum for a while, life got pretty busy. We ended up having to move to a town due to my husband’s work, and left the family farm.

I was very sad to say goodbye to all of our animals but they are still with my mom so in good hands.

Anyways I’ve been going through some major chicken withdrawal and emailed my landlord (as we are currently renting) to ask if I could possibly have chickens here. We already have a large dog so I kind of felt like I was pushing it by asking. I didn’t hear from him for almost a week and if figured it was a no. But he emailed me back today AND SAID YES!!!!!

I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED THAT I GET TO HAVE CHICKENS AGAIN! Our town allows for 5 hens, so of course I’m going to get 5

Now I have to figure out a good coop for them!

I’m not positive yet, I love all the breeds so 5 is very limiting haha. But it’s way better than zero! We do go through a fair amount of eggs so I’d like to get breeds that are pretty decent layers

I totally agree... the huge number of AWESOME breeds makes it so hard!!! Good luck picking them out!
