I’m trying to make my hen broody but she keeps calling for my rooster, what do I do?

A lot of times, yes. This does not mean EVERY orp goes broody though. Any chicken can break the traditional mold.

Same. I've tried through the years to have my silkies brood. Not one has ever so much as pondered it

Orphington. typically go more broody, and are more prone to it. But no garuntee. Cochins are supossed to go broody, and my mutts have gone broody like 15 times, her not even once! And she made a huge fuss over her first egg, made me carry her everywhere.

Anyway, hope she goes broody! By the way, you can potentially make her more inclined her go broody by giving her the right spot. Some eggs, obviously roo or fertile eggs for hatching the eggs, and a nice cozy shaded comfy area. But thats all you can do, really.
