I love being an american, Love being Non-Christian, Love having the right to practice my religion (something that was illegal in some parts of the county until the 1970's when The American Indian Religious Rights act was finally passed)

ILove being a minority with an equal right to the same services, love being a woman who can be taken seriously in the workplace,
love being one nation under the Goddess, for (some) of my Pagan friends ( since pagan is a broad brush term),
One nation under Allah (Which is just Arabic for God), for my Muslim friends,
one nation under Various Gods for my Polytheistic friends,
one nation under Human Compassion for my Atheist humanist friends, one nation under Buddha for my Buddhists friends ( yes I know Buddha isn't actually a God to Buddhists.)
I Love the diversity, the differing thoughts and opinions, the different philosophies, desires, practices, beliefs, cultures, races.
It's beautiful, it has it's wonders and it's flaws
We are not perfect, but we are always striving to be better
We're always thriving with ingenuity
Always debating and discussing
From the city folks to the small farmer, to the Amish, to the Wiccan
The conservative, the Liberal, The Moderate, the Socialist
The Pacifist and the soldier
We are great because we are diverse
We are great because we are always changing
Yes I am American and Proud
One Nation under UNEHLANVHI!

Proud to be an American! Where we have the right to disagree with our government and not be imprissoned for it. I agree there are so many problems with the Government but we can fix it. It's our right! To many restrictive laws this day n age. Big money companies run this country and make it difficult for the small business man to earn a living! All in all I love my country and stand by her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like being American. This I am not ashamed to say.

A lot of people at my school are ashamed to be American, just because anti-government beliefs are supposedly 'the cool thing' to say/do in that particular group.

A lot of people at my school make fun of me just because I'm Christian. And their only justifications for that behavior are, "Well, there are more of you than there are of us, so we can make fun of you all we want," or, "Other Christians were mean to me in the past, so I'm going to be mean to you."

Even though I didn't do anything to them, or anyone for that matter.

And no nation is perfect, but America is my home. I like that both me, and people of other faiths, even the ones who are mean to me, can all have different religions and still be treated as equals.

Sometimes I wish other people would be as nice to me as I am to them.
