I accidently froze my eggs. I don't wash them before refrigerating or cooking. Are they ok to eat after freezing? I read on USDA site, that you should throw them out because you could get Salmonella. Well, I guess since I don't wash them before using them I could still get salmonella. Do others wash their eggs before use? What do you guys think?

I face this problem every winter. Now and then a hen will lay an egg and we’ll leave it in the coop all day and it’ll be frozen by the time we get it. The problem isn’t the contents of the egg itself, it’s that the insides expand when frozen and will crack the shell, leaving an open door for bacteria to come in.

Heat your eggs/ingredients sufficiently, to at least 160º F and I think they should be fine.
