hes pure golden. Its quite rare these days but good to see. i would never have crosses. When he preen you wont notice the brown on his wingsYes, I suppose that makes sense! He came from a very muddy 4'x8' chainlink run so I'm sure his feathers will improve as some time passes. It is always showering up here in the PNW
I also noticed some of the questionable feathers still resemble the juvenile stage, so maybe they will improve as well. I don't know enough about judging purity of Golden/Amherst.
half of my run is covered in a piece of plywoodmade a makeshift roof out of a tarp and some wire for half of the run today... It will only work temporarily, I wish those corrugated tin panels weren't so expensive at the hardware store.
