The father is a silver laced Cochin mixed with favorelle and the mother was a black polish. If anyone is good with looking at feathers to know the gender, please let me know.

if they are only a few days old, you should be able to tell by the wing feathers. females feathers will be staggered and the males will all be the same length. We used this method for our chicks a while back and it was mostly accurate. Hope this helps and congratulations on your new chicks!

Thank you very very much! if I send you photos of each of their feathers would you be able to help out with distinguishing them. I've looked at images online and three of the four I believe to be girls one I'm not sure.

Thanks!!! I think so far, it's a good guess.

Feather sexing isn't reliable unless bred for, it takes a certain mix of fast feathering vs slow feathering. Right now they are too young to sex, try back when they are six to eight weeks old.
Interesting, i did not know this! i’ve been feather sexing mine for about 3 generations of chicks and i guess we just got some lucky guesses!

Twix, Masha, Zoe, and Hairyette are three weeks old now. Battling Coccidiosis and tiny Zoe also has a respiratory disease. I've been doing everything from oregano and vinegar in water, clean, dry, bin daily, good ventilation and started them 3 days ago on coridV (amprolium). So far, so good!!! Hoping they recover.
