Wow thanks for all the responce, I am still cleaning up a bit in the garage and around the back yard after this project. and havent had alot of time to get on here.

yes the barrels are for feed for both the chickens and wild bird seeds. They hold about 100 lbs of feed or scratch, I picked them up at the feed store for $18 ea. they are vary thick plastic with locking tops.

The coop took about five days build and paint. I need to post some pictures of the little extras we have added after these were taken

Sorry these are not ink barrels they have a removable top with a locking ring, are a bit smaller and have handles. The feed store gets there bulk items in them. My father in law happens to work at a printing press, I happen to have one of the barrels and plan to use it for composting. once i cut the top off and drill some holes in it. I will post some pictures of them in a couple of minutes

Okay, I'm totally in awe....Soo impressive.....Now you need to buy some of my hatching eggs and fill with some Georgia Peach chickens.....Smile.

Oh I like this so well, I definitely would have to send you extras.

Do you have a architectural or engineering background.

Lovely work.

Be Blessed and be a Blessing....

In this area we have a problem with ground squirls and rats getting into feed they will chew through wood and thin plastic. I started using these for my wild bird seed and have not had a problem. I found that if I use metal containers in this area they will sweat and get the feed wet.

I hope this explains my blue barrels and yes the coop was designed around them.

thanks again
Derrick
