1 hens pecking each other: Most of the time it is due to boredom. I recently had a similar issue last year. So what I did is hang heads of cabbage in a couple of spots in my coop. I wrapped some wire in the rafters of my chicken run and dangled the head of cabbage at the other end about 12 to 14 inches off the ground. It keeps the chickens busy pecking something else besides each other. Plus they get a treat at the same time, solved my problem.
2. Dark spec: This is frostbite. There is no cure for it but there is a way to help prevent it and that is rubbing petroleum jelly on the areas that you see getting frostbit. Areas such as combs and wattles.
Well I hope a couple of my suggestions might help. Thanks for joining us and if you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to ask.
