I am a new member

Hi there, I have just joined and I have come here today to admit to the group that I am a chikeeholic. I have 9 chickens and they rule my life. I understand that I have a problem but cant say no to them. Now on a serious note! I have to euthanaise one of my brown shavers. Normally with a sick chick, I administer amoxycillan but it is not working with this one. she is heavily constipated and is lethargic and probably egg bound. I looked up on this site and saw some of the ways to do it and want to add my little idea. i have decided that I am going to give her a sleeping pill and wait til she nodds off then have a neighbour farmer use his axe to put her out of her misery. I can never abide by any forms of animal cruelty and if I was her, I would want the pain and suffering to stop. I just thought I would add my little bit to the forum as a new member. Catch you again.
