I am afraid that my eggs are lost in the mail:(

I ordered some SLW chicks from Ideal that were suppose to ship out
this past Tuesday. Today is Saturday and no chicks. I contacted once
by phone to confirm their shipment and the next day by e-mail. My reply
from them on the e-mail was "You have gotten those chickens yet?"
When the chicks didn't show up today, my reply to that e-mail to them
was "here's your sign". It being a weekend, I will have to wait until
Monday to find out what happen.

Have your eggs turned up yet? If not, do check with the seller to be sure they were shipped to the correct address/zip code. Typos do happen, unfortunately

Make sure you call your post office. I sent a box of guinea eggs once and it had been 9 days and they finally called the PO and the box had been sitting there for 7 days!

I've seen this problem so many times on here. I think the post office should have a special handle unit for eggs. If you file a big omplaint letter maybe the US Postmaster will get involved.

I received the eggs yesterday. They were in good shape. I only hope that they didn't freeze somewhere along the way. None were cracked or broken, so I don't think that they did.

Whew! Good you got your eggs! I think if they freeze they crack, so you are probably ok! Good luck!
