I am beginning to hate squirrels

I did change my main barrel and now the squirrel is going right into my coop and eating out of the feeder for my chickens. So instead of feeding my chickens each night I am feeding a squirrel through the winter.

I also had someone tell me that they would eat baby chicks and eggs as well. Not sure how true that is since I don't leave eggs or chicks in the coop for anyone to get but I don't think they are as nice as they make us think

I would be totally okay with them if they acted like that. They stay out of my garden for the most part. I have rabbits and other animals that invade that. But they have learned that the chicken coop is a good place for food and since the roosters and hens don't chase them off they can empty the coop feeder in about a day. So I am paying for a very fat squirrel and come winter my chickens will go hungry. It doesn't seem fair somehow.

We are going to try to live trap him and take him up into the woods somewhere and release him although my husbands first impulse is to just shoot him since he is destroying the bins and eating the food. I definitely am going to get metal bins for the food as replacements since he can't get into those. But how do I keep him out of the coop and feeder. The chickens are on 1/2 an acre so I can't fence the top of their run, it's much too big.

I always like squirrels but after this one squirrel keps coming and eating my chicken's food and attacks my baby! It's not okay! I need help what can I do! It has already chip a part of her nose. This squrril is evil!

squirrels are horrible. they chew through everything. I caught one the other day in my coop and grabbed a stick and beat it to death. Feed costs too much to be waisting it feeding dang squirrels.
