Ok...this really isn't one of my hens typing, but I am looking for a true Ameraucana rooster. I have a small flock of 6 BR hens (orig from Mt. McHealthy) and 5 RIR hens (also from Mt. McHealthy). I am replacing a RIR rooster who has just become too mean to put up with anymore.
I am in Aiken, SC. I have put a call into my local supplier (Weeks Feed), but I don't want to get one of their roosters if it is going to be an EE instead of true Ameraucana.

Any suggestions, recommendations?

Update:

After looking at the Ameraucana scrapbook, I would really love either a blue wheaton, wheaton, or brown and red - in that order of preference.

Have you checked on the Buy Sell Trade forum? You can also post a free wanted ad on that forum. It won't be hard to find a free purebred rooster! There are just too many roosters and not enough homes (that don't involved freezers).
