My 23 week olds are startin to lay. I got a very small brown egg they other day from a RIR and yesterday I got a triangle shaped egg, too thin it broke when I was washing the poop off. Today I got another small one, thin shelled, but in one piece!! Thos two are from on of the BO's.

Even with new layers the shells shouldn't be thin. Go ahead and get them some oyster shell to supplement their diet. BO's are much bigger in body and bone mass than a RIR and they often need more to supplement for good production.
