So I've had my babies for on 4 weeks now. This Saturday, they'll be 5 weeks old. So I've been loving on them and they are starting to come when I say "chick chick chick". Well, today after painting inside the coop, I went and sat down in their run with them for a bit. Soon enough, 5 birds were fighting for space on my legs, and one (Princess, who is a white leghorn) jumped on my head.

I know it is silly, but I don't get a long with humans well.

So a bird choosing my head as a perch made me feel like I had been finally accepted by my ladies. I kept telling her, "Princess, do NOT poo on my head!" and a moment later she hopped off and pooed on the ground. What a smart gal, eh? Anyway, I just wanted to share my smilemaker for the day. I love chickens.

How adorable! I got 7 2-week old chicks Monday, and they are HILARIOUS! One will grab some of the pine shavings and run like he has something special, and the others will chase after him, thinking he has something of worth! Sooo cute! I want mine to really warm up to me, so I cuddle with them a lot, the majority have snuggled up under my chin and fell asleep so far! :)

Great story. Chickens are so fun to watch. My chicks used to sit on my legs, arms and lap also. One time I had 11 on me at once. I love chickens too.
