As some of you know, I got a Silkie Roo not too far back.
He was my first Silkie and his name is Sonic (Mr. Unstoppable)
Anyway, before Sonic was Peanut, the baby I got at merely 3 days old and practically hand raised.
Peanut slept in my bed with me, ate food with me, perched on my shoulder all day....everything!
When I got Sonic I think he felt a little betrayed: How could mom get another man!?
Recently, I went out to the coop on a rainy morning and he jumped on my shoulder, shifting down to be comfortably in my arms.
He peeped a few times (his voice is slowly but surely changing) and he was completely content.
We sat this way for about 20 minutes, I just talked to him and held him, told him how handsome he was with his new green and blue feathers.
It was just like the old times, Peanut loves me again!
He's finally forgiven me for getting Sonic, who incidentally isn't the brightest crayon in the box.
The boys are friends, and Peanut is my baby again.
Nobody could understand how happy that makes me!!!
