YIKES!!!!! I would still be looking for the extended family.
I too have a rodent critter phobia. I am ok with snakes. They startle me then I am ok.

WOW! kinda reminds me of the time mama possum raised 3 babies in my husbands longjohn drawer!! freaked me out when one stuck his tail up outside the drawer!!!

Maybe I'm a weirdo but I would have kept the baby and raised it. I've had a pet rat (the best pet I've ever had) and I've had mice too. I would let my rat run around my living room and she would jump on the couch with me and cuddle and fall asleep. I loved her!

I've also picked up a scared possum out of the road to keep it from getting hit by a car.

Ok I know y'all think I'm crazy now. And before anyone asks...NO I was NOT drunk on moonshine at the time.

BTW, I would be screaming and calling 911 (not really) but I would freak out. Don't tell anyone, but I'm afraid of my own chickens!
