I AM GETTING CONFUSED! ARE THESE ORPINGTONS OR RIR'S?? pics

The one that had the darker feathers coming in looks like my production reds that I get at the feed store. The other one I am not sure.

I don't think there's enough pictures. Can you do more? But if that's ALL you have, your little yellow chick looks like my Buff Orp girls when they were babies.

On a serious note, I think they're buff orps. It wouldn't matter to me, buff orps are great birds and very pretty. RIR are good birds too, just red instead of yellow (among some other slight differences). Both breeds are good egg layers.

If your really wanting answers, way tooo many pics, froze up my computer!...They are neither orps or rirs...orps have white legs, yours look to have yellow legs.....and rirs would be darker...look like buff rocks chicks to me....

You're gonna scream, but based on the wing feathers coming in, I think you have a mix of both!

You have both. The pic # 19 shows striping on the wings of a RIR chick. The plainer yellower chick is a Buff Orp.

i have 4 buff orp chicks and their legs are orange not white,bit their parents have white legs,so im sure they will turn white sometime
