I bought 3 Cornish Rock babies at TSC this week and via feather sexing, I think they're all pullets. I'm going to give 2 to my brother and try to raise the third one as a laying hen. My hens get to forage all day around our backyard so she will get plenty of exercise. I just found the chicks SO adorable that I at least want to give it a try. I blogged about it here : http://backyardfarmer101.com/cornishrocks/

Has anyone else successfully raised a Cornish Rock into adulthood as a laying hen? I'd love to hear your experiences.

Welcome! My best advice is; don't try. Get some nice dual purpose or layer type birds instead. Also, never do only one or two chickens, as they are flock animals and will not be happy as solitary birds. Mary
