Dog crate sounds like a winner to me ,I agree with NatJ

So I had 2 chickens but one passed so then I can’t really get another one since there is no place to get them near me, plus it’s a pretty small hen, a friend of mines has 2 chickens that are 4x bigger than my chicken and my chicken is completely terrified of it, should I let my friend take csre? Or I leave the chicken in a coop with dirt and towels and food (IM LEAVING FOR A WEEKK)

Let it join a new flock that has roosters. The roosters manage them.

Get a big dog crate and bring it to your friend. The hen can chill in a 2-4sq feet kennel for a week. And I the friend is nice, he/she could let her out alone for a few hours a day.

Chickens are extremely social and need a friend. Birds are flock animals.

Was it ever said what the towels were for? Does the coop have a shower? or a chicken hot tub?

Certainly. But it is currently alone. I don’t think it is practical to ask someone to introduce the single bird into their flock for a week.

The crate could go In/next to the run or coop with the friends chickens as well.

Just a thought.
