I am horrified what is going on!! Quail toes falling off or somthing

How often do you clean the cage? Maybe it could be getting to damp/dirty (not trying to be mean just trying to rule out possibilities). If it just the female is the rooster doing it?

She said she cleaned it two days ago.

Just the female is doing it , i clean 1 time a week usually a sunday ready for the week.
My house has been damp latley we had to move bedrooms because of mould in our bedroom. The quails are in the kitchen

I got this quail and her boyfriend at a pet shop. We got jap quails from that pet shop and they all died but all of my originals i have had for years are all alive still

It looks like some sort of infection. From the picture of your bird, it might be too late, but i would start with soaking the feet in warm water (about quail body temp or a couple of degrees warmer) and see if you can see any injuries. An antibacterial ointment would be next.

I don't know much about administering antibiotics, but from how sick your quail looks, it probably needs them. Do you have a vet you can call?

not being funny, but you might want to get some antifungal cream for your own hands/ nails....

Thats my partners hands he is a painter and always has his hands in turps etc..

Yeah I read that. I asked how often she cleans it’s. Once a week? Every other day? Every 2 weeks? I know if it goes without cleaning they can get ammonia burns.

I will take her to the vet its only around the corner from me thankyou for the information. I have her in a box with a heat bag ready to go
