I am new to raising and caring for chickens. I got our 6 chicks in July of 2022. We have 5 hens and 1 rooster (at least I think we have 1 rooster). Our chickens are Road Island Reds. I have really enjoyed building the chicken coop and run from scratch and am looking forward to other building projects. My wife and I recently moved to Northern Nevada, wanting to live someplace rural and wanting some space of our own. Beside the chickens, we have 2 cats. I found BYC while searching on topics about chickens.
