Hi my name is Scott and live in Tn. I just build my coop and have 3 rhode land reds. I am about to get some game hens and don't know a lot about them. I would like to know if I can put them with my other birds? Thanks and am looking forward to hearing from everyone.

you could do a search re: gamebirds. MY thinking is they can't be with other breeds. Maybe someone will come along and give a definitive answer.

Hi, Scott, welcome to BYC. When you get your game hens, quarantine them prior to introducing them to your present flock. There will be some fighting - it's how they establish the pecking order. Do a search on "integrating flocks" to get some tips.

Thanks I will search on flocks, what is the life span on game hens? Also what is the cheapest way to have a brooder I have a 30 gallon fish take that I thought I could use, just take top off and have baby chicks in there?
