i have A LOT of questions to ask yall. i would really like it if someone who knew a lot about rabbits to let me pm them with all my questions. my first questions is i thinking of building a rabbit hutch attached to a run. If i wanted to breed them do i need to just keep 1 male and 1 female in the same cage or do i have to have a breeding colony and keep 3 does and 1 buck. any help is appreciated

I know some about rabbits. You can keep them either way. I would put them in breeding colonies if you are gonna go into production. If you just want a about half a dozen, I would keep them in pairs. Either way is fine. Just don't keep more than one buck in each cage.

I know a little about rabbits. Some tips are to start small....don't get to many at first. Maybe 2 females and one buck. You should probably have seperate cages for each rabbit. Feed them pellets 1-2 times a day but I wouldn't recomeend free choice they can get fat that way. But my BIGGEST and let me repeat BIGGEST tip for you is that you MAKE SURE you rabbit's cage or hutch DOES NOT have a grass floor!!!!!!!!!!! The run can but not the cage that they are going to be in for the majority of the time!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also DO NOT let your rabbits have access to hours and hours of eating grass in their run. They can hop around and eat grass for 1-2 hours but NO MORE!!!!!!! Make sure you slowly introduce it to them and then work it up to 1-2 hours NO MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My rabbit was outside for longer then usual eating grass and she got very, very sick from it and later passed away.

She was my first and only rabbit and I miss her so much! Greens/grass/veggies are VERY GOOD for rabbits but in limited quantities!!!!!!!!!!! So good luck and have fun with your rabbits!!!!!!!!

My rabbits won't eat grass. When I let them out they either go straight for the salt licks or the weeping willow leafs.
