My wife and I decide we wanted to start raising chicken we have been eating farm fresh eggs for a while. We decide to raising chickens to get our own egg. We are very new to this and have browsed this site for a lot of answer to our questions.

Welcome! Your chicks are very cute.

We actually have a mix of birds. We hope that is not going to be a problem. But we really liked a lot of different birds when we picked out our chicks. We have 3 RIR 3 Barred Rock 2 Gold Sexlinks 1 Red Sexlink 1 Black Sexlink and 2 Ameruecana
We are hoping it is not a problem having this many different breeds living together.

Welcome!

You have some adorable babies there! I have not raised any of the breeds you mention but I believe if they grow up together, they should be OK after they have established a pecking order.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share more pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out
