I am new

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! For 14 weeks, they looks like White Rocks or some sort of slower growing meat birds.
I hope they aren't meat chickens they are very sweet birds and I am attached. The farm supply store I bought them from sells only pullets and had them labeled as golden sex links. They don't sell meat chickens there so it would have had to have been a shipping mistake.

Also my neighbor bought the same chickens but feeds starter grower only sometimes and scratch sometimes and he feeds them only once per day and his are half the size of mine. Mine have access to starter grower at all times.

x2 on the White Rocks. White Rocks are dual purpose birds which will supply a decent amount of meat, but are also pretty good layers.

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

So glad you could join our community!!

Make yourself at home here on BYC and welcome to our flock!

x2 on the White Rocks.  White Rocks are dual purpose birds which will supply a decent amount of meat, but are also pretty good layers. So we took two of our girls up to the farm store today and the owner who raises meat chickens says their breast would be much larger if they were meat chickens. Also they don't get white rocks but they think our girls might be ideal 236 leghorns. Either way the response we got when we pulled one out if the carrier was great, they both said "wow!! That's a big o bird!!"
