Chapter 9
Genius fell down gracefully."
"How did she fall down gracefully?" Butter Scotch interrupts.
"Butter! Let her finish." Lacey snaps at Butter Scotch.
"Fine....." Butter apoligizes.
"Thank you. May I go on now?" I ask.
"Yes, May." Butter replies.
"Ooh... A nickname! I like that! May... Okay, I'm gonna continue now.
So.. Genius fell down gracefully. She flapped her wings when she fell, so she didn't plop on the ground. She landed on the gray ground.
'Wow! Your on the top row!' She looked up at our heads sticking out of the bars.
'Cool!' I yell down to Genius.
'Guys! Come down!' She ran in circles. 'We're free! I can move! Come on, Maizie! You can come too, Marietta. Oh, and you, Alex.'
'Look out below!' I slipped through the bars. I flapped my wings. I felt like I was floating. It was graceful. I landed on the ground. 'Come on Alex and Marietta!'
Alex took her turn. 'I'm coming!' She flew down. 'Oh my gosh! I can spread out my wings!' She landed on the ground. 'Come on, Marietta!'
Marietta stook her head through the bars. 'I don't know if we should be doing this... But okay!'
Marietta tried to squeeze through the bars. She couldn't get through.
'I'm too fat!' She cried. She continued to squeeze through. 'I'm stuck!' She squiggled around in between the bars.
'Come on Mary!' Alex cried. 'You can do it!'
'Yeah! You can do it, Mary!' I sobbed.
'Come on Marietta!' Genius yelled up to her.
'I'm coming down!' She slipped right through the bars. Marietta a.k.a Mary flew through the air so fast. She flopped on the ground, hurting herself. 'Ow!!!!!' She cried.
Everyone rushed over (including me) to Mary. We rubbed our feathery wings on her.
'I'm okay...' She stood up.
We ran around the hallway, happily.
'Hey! How'd you do that!?!!?!?!' Someone said angrily.
