I put my chickens to bed around 8:30 last night as usual. went out this morning to do usual morning routine fresh water, etc. One of them was curled in the corner of the coop head tucked not moving. Quickly ran around to the other door nearest. Reached in and shook her talking to her. ZERO response. Didn't move or lift her head. There was a breeze but I couldn't tell for sure if she was breathing but didn't move no matter what I did. I shut the door and went to prepare my cage to put her in alone or to dispose if she was really dead which is what it seemed. She was limp. Went back outside ten minutes later and the corner was empty. She was up running around with the others cackling and acting completely normal. This has never happened to me before. What the heck is going on??:bow. Have I lost my mind? This is not my first flock.

maybe she had a seizure and was coming back. Or possible neorological event (forgive spelling)

Didn't even know that could happen. I need to read up on it. I'm hoping someone here has seen it before. I'm feeling a little creeped out right now. Lol

Im no expert but the way you explained it. She may have had a neorological event such as passing out, seizure, stroke, etc.

I'm also having an issue with one of my Rhode Island Reds, shes not acting like she normally is. She's been holding her tail down and not eating as much as normal but has been drinking lots of water. And she's just started to lay eggs. She's usually pretty perky. Yesterday afternoon she began acting different and we figured she needed to lay an egg. We gave her a warm bath and some electrolyte water. Were not sure what's wrong with her but would like to help her, any ideas or advice? Thank you!

Our chicken seems to be doing a little better. We just gave her another bath. She's still not acting herself though, maybe she just need some time and rest
