My DH has a friend from work that will buy a doz eggs at an auction not really knowing what they are and decide to incubate them and we usually get the chicks when they are about 18 weeks old. Dont ask me why he keeps them that long. He will get rid of hens and roosters. In the next couple of weeks I will be getting a polish (dont know what kind yet) but its a rooster and a hen
