was checking my eggs as they are 5 days over due, 2 hatched on the 21st day. i candled and did that float test, no movement at all...so i took out what i thought were bad eggs, 3 were one wasnt!! perfect little baby that died in my hands so i have learned to wait a full week over at least, I put the rest back....

I'm so sorry, its so heartbreaking to loose one. I just lost my 2 double yokers... and I feel so bad... but sometimes it's just beyond our control.

It's probable that it wouldn't have hatched anyway, if it was that far overdue. Sometimes they just don't hatch. I've learned not to open them once I have decided that I'm not going to wait any longer.
