Yesterday i found out that our military housing will make a area this year where we can grow veggies,fruits....
I have to go to a meeting on tuesday, but my plot is already reserved. I already ordered a few different seeds Yamato cucumbers, big bertha sweet peppers, giant sunflower seeds, peter peppers, big daddy sweet peppers, abraham lincoln tomatos, cowhorn okras and hot pepper mix. I already got hillbilly tomatos from my neighbors in Ohio.I also might grow some salad, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and brussel sprouts. Anything else that you can think of that i should add?

i saw your title of your topic and i started singing the song in my head lol. i am over tired and wacked out HAHAHA

LOTS of tomatoes!!!

Squash, summer and winter. Pumpkins are fun for kids!

Greens -- lettuce, Swiss Chard, spinach, kale

Peas in the spring. Green beans in the summer.

Herbs - parsley, basil, chives (regular and garlic),

Check to see if you have Master Gardeners (Farm Extension) in your local area (do a google search). These are University trained volunteers who know LOTS about growing EVERYTHING in your area!! I am a Master Gardener in California and we regularly provide FREE classes in raising everything from tomatoes to succulents to orchids to palms to lawns!!

PM me if you have specific questions!

Good Luck!! You will NEVER regret growing your own REAL food!!

I am still looking for german strains of veggies. Is there a good place where i can order heritage seeds? What would be a heritage strawberry?

Google "Southern Exposure Seed Exchange". They carry only "open pollinated" seeds (also known as heritage seeds). They also show the original source (country) of many of their seeds.

Good Luck!
