I AM SO MAD!!!!

To MP: I'm not sure about Nevada's regulations, but here in AZ getting an elk permit is done through drawing of applications, and it's only one elk IF you are lucky enough to get drawn. It's for a defined hunt area and defined antlerless or antlered.

As much trouble as licenced, responsible hunters have to go to to get a permit, hearing that some idiot kills FOUR of them and gets off as not guilty just

I hear ya....there is currently a huge reward for getting the person shooting Bull Elk just a little north of me.

The idiot is target practicing and not even killing them in some cases. Two had to be put down on site when officials arrived because they could not be saved. 8 have been killed in the last couple of months and these are from herds they are trying to rebuild because Elk were so over hunted here in past years.

One poor Cow with a youngin was hit when the shot went through the Bull and into her...so a baby with no mama.

I want them to catch the fool and LOCK HIM UP!

They need to make harsher rules if they catch them. A large fine maybe nothing less then $1000.00 and community service for 6 months. My DH and I are hunters and we have had some people wanting to hunt doe on our land. We ask to see their license. Some of them don’t have them and we send them packing. If we catch anyone with a doe and no tag we make them stay here and call the game warden. We have done that twice already and we no longer see those people around.

Ohhh, I see. beings I am from the deep south I have no clue how some of these hunting issues are dealt with.

I do know people do hunt elk and moose and such but as I don't live in place where this happens I don't know all the rules.

Thanks so much for helping me learn.

So, it is a lottery drawing and a super limited permit. Interesting.

If it were here in AZ, he would be spending some serious time in jail.

Our state really takes care of it's elk herds.
