I am so proud of my little chickies!

So, I moved my six chickens (9 wks old) from the brooder out to their new coop and run I built them about 2 weeks ago. I also integrated 3 older pullets at the same time without any issues. Anyway, it took them a few days to learn to go back INTO the coop when it gets dark, and so once they learned that, I was ecstatic. Not having to pick each of them up and place them in there saves me a lot of time & hassle.

BUT, with the exception of the 3 older ones, they hadn't figured out the whole roosting thing.

Tonight I went out there to lock them in, and they were all on the ROOST! Well almost all of them. My little guy "Fluff: aka. T-Rex" was sleeping all alone in one of the nesting boxes. I think he is too heavy with not enough feathers to get up there all by himself. He falls like a rock. My little ones are growing up so fast.

Awww, that gives me hope that ours will be ok when we put them in their coop. Well we kind of have to finish building it, but it still gives me hope that they might get used to it.
