Since this post was made 3 weeks ago, no one else has gone missing. I've been extra vigilant at night to make sure everyone is where they're supposed to be. The poor cats aren't allowed in the shed anymore, just to make sure there are no cracks for anything to get in and out of. I put my little Serama roo in with the girls and let the other one loose, since he knows from past experience to roost high, and I don't worry about him being out. (The new one was cage raised and therefore inexperienced about yard life.) Everything is under control for now. The only big issue I have is my stupid Golden Phoenix roo has decided he likes hanging out in the BLRW pen because he can bully the two roos in there. The idiot comes and goes as he pleases, little escape artist. I gotta get that netting fixed.

Hang in there. Is your shed totally varmint-proof? I had a chicken die of a killing, too.
A few years ago, a possum or something just picked off the flock one by one or so.
You could try baiting a live trap with chicken food, cat food, corn, whatever and maybe catch the thing ( or one of the things) that's making all this trouble.

What a truly difficult time. There is just nothing like losing your birds. Hang in there, keep a small group and watch them closely. These days will pass.
If it is a mammal doing the killing, then place cyanne pepper around and under the coop, but be aware of your own critters as this is going to make them sniff, sneeze and eyes water. Also Strong smell/powder like baby powder will just drive some of these critters away, just don't let your babies near it (chickens or dog, the cat will go around it).
