Nuh-uh, I love my little silkie chicks!
BUT, I still love my ducks more (sorry silkie chickens!) because I had them first and they're so much funnier. Silkies are awesome in their own ways though. Haven't let them go broody yet, since they're only a few months old and haven't begun laying yet, but we'll get there eventually!
Don't worry about being a 'traitor.' Your ducks won't mind. But remember you have to take care of these animals in winter too; have fun wading through snow and dealing with frozen waterers.
Oh, and you'll forget about feeling bad about having more than one species when you get your goslings.
