I am so upset!!!

I just had a little tiny Ameraucana hatch yesterday that was due this last friday. The little bugger kept fighting. I thought she was a goner and my barnevelders were two days behind her...I put them into hatch and they got her out on day four! She is alive and drinking and eating. Her only problem is she had splay legs and crooked toes which I taped up and she seems fine. I thought for sure she would be dead when I went to get the barnevelders out but she was up walking around with them

I hope yours hatch as well! Good luck!

BTW she has pipped and zipped almost all the way on Friday but then got weaker and weaker. But she is doing fine today. SO there is still hope.

Well guys, next time FOR SURE I am listening to my instincts. Last time I wait too long and it died. Tonight I got the polish out though it may be too late. TOTALLY shrink wrapped. One cochin was shrink wrapped but it was still wet enough for me to plop it out pretty quick. The other pip died in the egg.

I candled the last 4 eggs and they had all died.

My humidity was too low. I already know that is the problem. I am never waiting this long to help again.

I have no idea, but RuPaul, my Barred Rock Rooster was hatched Feet First, I thought he was gonna be like the little cartoon egg, feet out and shell running around

Does not seem to have any affect on Ru, he is Big Bold and takes care of his girls!

I just had to a major clean up job on the polish. Poor thing felt he was shellacked!!!! He seems better now, but the first two that hatched were pickin on him so they are now in the brooder. Little stinkers.
