Corners of rugs curling up..

Hides to be exact. I have Pergo floors and 2 huge steer hides on the floor. The corners curl up all the time.It looks like crapp and I am over it. I cant put down doublesided tape for obvious reasons.. Velcro etc is out just the same.

What can I do .. ? I am so over it but dont want to get rid of the rugs since they cost 500 each and I love them and I need em down on the floor.
what to do?

I did that with books.. But one problem. People keept stubbing their toes on it. Husband is famous for running and falling over things.
I been trying to just tucking them back under but then another corner curls up..

Hummm I think I would try attaching some kind of heavier backing to the sides where it curls up. then if it curled up it would have to try to curl up the heavier backing as well...

what about it seeping into the flooring tho.. i am just so afraid it will stain the flooring...
this pic is before they all started to curl like mad. There is another one behind the couch and its just as bad now even tho it doesnt get as much traffic as this one. It just looks crappy

I now have moved this rug into the open since this pic was taken.
I think the problem is that people dont step on top of it but shuffle the feet and it makes it curl?
I will see if that oil idea works tho..

Thats also a good idea.. didnt think of it.. maybe sweing the rims with something heavy like ? is that what you are talking about?
These dont have backing at all. I didnt want the felt behind it cause its gets really slippery

The oil has to be rubbed in with a rag. The leather will soak it up like a sponge. Pergo wont stain. It's a laminated flooring. Meaning fake wood.(Similar to panel facing) I've installed a few of those floors in my day. The best thing for cleaning pergo is white vineger & water.

I use the pergo cleaner and it works great. Then again.. it doesnt work very well against dust bunnies. ( have 4 cats and a dog)

I would think an iron on kind of stuff like with sewing. you have a flimsy fabric and you iron on a interfacing that is heavy to give it body. perhaps you could put duct tape on it... not to tape it down but taped to the under side to give it body. perhaps a couple layers.

I love duct tape

that and a few zip ties....
