I am SOOOOOO mad! I HAVE to vent this!

Way to GO! HMMMM I may try your idea out next year. I have Easter chickies at less than 1 week old..didn't plan it on purpose and have yet to let my 3yr old hold one! I just had a conversation with my feed store and they are so on top! They won't even order chicks until after easter! They know what the wackos around here do! Too many chickens end up tossed out a door window around here, so they stopped carrying them until after the holidays. BRAVO FOR YOU!!!

Oh , that's horrible. I had a lady tell me recently the almost exact same story with her bunny rabbits. Lady called and begged her to sale her some of her 3 week old bunny rabbits. Breeder said "But they are too young to take from their mom". Caller said, "Oh that's okay, I don't need to live for very long, just so they will be there for Easter morning in my kid's Easter basket"!!!!
Can you believe the nerve of people? Sick,,,,very sick!!! She is LUCKY I was not on the phone to answer that.

Great! Good for you 4H Mom, what an inspiring thing to read after Easter. That gives me an idea, I think I'll go check out my local animal shelter to see if anybody dumped chicks or chicken there to adopt! After all, us animal lovers, gotta clean up after stupied people!
