Hello, I am a newbie though I have some vague memory of raising some chicks with brother and sister in our childhood years. I have six pullets, one barred rock, two Rhode Island red, one sex-link red, one sex-link black, and one mixed bread of barred rock and leghorn. I found this forum while googling tips about chickens and have learned a lot. I also love to grow my own veggies but this summer gardening took a back seat because these girls are having my full attention. I am an accountant and work from home, and my breaks are walks to the backyard to watch and care for these chickens.
