I found a Hovabator 1602n for dirt cheap. I brought it home and set it up for about 7 hrs and the temps were holding steady. Last night I put in 3 eggs and watched for a couple of hours and it seemed to be doing fine. I woke up at 7:00 this morning and temp was up to 103! I have all winter to play around with this to try and get it right. So we will see what happens. At least I have a steady supply of free fertile eggs. I am going to ask for the Brinsea eco 20 for Christmas.
I will update as to whether these eggs make it or how far they go before they quit.

Congratulations on your incubator purchase.

Do keep us posted on the progress.

I just purchased the Hovabator 1588 and hatched all of my babies with ease.

Good luck!

Best of luck with your hatch

Well I am at day 9. I have good vein and air cell development. I can see also now see the black dot which is the eye! My temps are holding very steady though on day three I did have a spike for a few hours but got under control quick. So far, so good!
