I found a Hovabator 1602n for dirt cheap. I brought it home and set it up for about 7 hrs and the temps were holding steady. Last night I put in 3 eggs and watched for a couple of hours and it seemed to be doing fine. I woke up at 7:00 this morning and temp was up to 103! I have all winter to play around with this to try and get it right. So we will see what happens. At least I have a steady supply of free fertile eggs. I am going to ask for the Brinsea eco 20 for Christmas.
I will update as to whether these eggs make it or how far they go before they quit.
