I banged my finger

Preparing a pen for winter. Hammered my finger. Actually hit the fingernail but pad took the brunt. Anyone else want to share?

Ooh, that looks like it really hurts. Maybe even more than mine did last year:

But what I didn't know at the time, nor the Doc at the ER, my tendon was actually sliced with only a speck holding on. The remainder snapped a couple days later and I had to have surgery and months of physical therapy to be able to use it again.
I was actually surprised it didn't hurt more, so I mean it when I say your bruise looks pretty ouchy. A slam with a fingernail involved is no fun at all!

I did slice that same finger processing roosters, years ago, 5 stitches.
