I bought meat for my dogs today

The place where I purchase is very reasonable in price, altho it has gone up the last several years.

Today I purchased:

30 lbs of beef knuckle bones
30 lbs of ground beef organ meat mix.
This contains heart, liver, kidney, and tripe
90 lbs of 20% fat ground beef

The tab? $160 bucks

This will feed my 3 Rottweilers beef twice per week, organ meat once per week, and a big bone twice a week for 5 weeks.

I found chicken quarters for my guys.....69 cents a pound. Also got turkey necks for 59 cents a pound. I stock up when I see dog food this cheap.

Sometimes, you can also go directly to the processor/butcher and find really good deals, too...at least on soup bones & stuff for snacks for them.

I love that the butcher only lives a 1/2 mile away from us. We'll be getting our steer butcher in 2 months so they'll be even more goodies for the dogs soon.
