....and they're in the incubator now. I'm incubating my future incubators....hoping to get the broody trait solidly into my flock.
 
I'm considering buying some Icelandic eggs to hatch, keep us updated on how yours do. If you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for your eggs? there is someone here in Columbus Ohio selling eggs for $5 each.
 
That is indeed a bargain. Just be certain to keep the bloodline pure. They are a landrace that needs to be preserved in it's purity... and you are correct, they are a broody lot.

I have one Icelandic from last years Easter Hatch that still hasn't gone broody but I'm expecting it to happen. I suppose once three weeks are up, I'll end up buying 3 or 4 chicks to put underneath her.
